Baldwin Place has been carefully designed to work within the parameters of the Journal Square Redevelopment Plan and complies with all current zoning requirements. Without variances needed for development, the design of this mixed-use residential development incorporated transit-oriented smart growth principles that are a cornerstone of the Journal Square Redevelopment Plan. Situated on ±5 acres, Baldwin Place offers a family oriented community in a traditional Jersey City neighborhood, a short walk to the Journal Square PATH station which provides a 12-20 minute ride to New York City.
Each building was designed to allude to the sites industrial past while enhancing the existing street grid and respecting the neighborhood character of the surrounding area. There will be approximately 980 units featuring ground floor retail, below grade parking and a publicly accessible landscaped promenade providing unobstructed views of Manhattan and downtown Jersey City.
