The challenge of this corner building was a commercial thoroughfare on one side and a residential street of brick row houses on the other. The solution for this 22-unit, mixed-use, multi-family building was to accommodate both. On the commercial side, repetitive arched-topped vertical bays stretching the entire first floor define the retail façade. As the building turns the corner, the façade transitions into a rhythm of punched window openings to respond to the scale of brick row houses along the side street. Both sides hide the internal parking garage within.
